While I was on Facebook doing my usual (endlessly scrolling down the news feed), I came upon an interesting contest. It was Carbtrim's Goes Wicked Promo where you submit a creative photo of yourself with their product, answer a simple question, and get likes. They will then choose 27 winners who will each win a pair of tickets to Wicked The Musical. I usually don't join this type of contest, but upon seeing that only 29 people joined and the deadline is the following day, I just had to!
Criteria for judging would be 50% creativity and 50% popularity. I knew I could nail the 50% creativity so I just had to bug people to like my entry. I went full-on career mode on this one and tallied the current participants with their likes. According to my Mr. Excel, I had to get 40 to 50 likes for a guaranteed slot (assuming I get the 50% creativity).
I immediately bought their product, tortured our helper to get the perfect shot, edited the photo in Photoshop, and submitted my entry. I don't remember how many people I bugged, but most of them snubbed me, of course. I don't blame them for I would have done the same. I hate doing like contests but if the chances are high and prize is awesome, then pakapalan nalang ng mukha!
If you wish to see my entry, you can look for it here, hihi. No judging!

She bugged all of us at home, and asked me to ask my friends to "like" her entry, which I did, of course! Thank you titas!

The next morning, I was only at 30 likes and I had to get 20 more by noon. Sadly, I was off to Binondo with mom, to shop for fabrics (which is another good story). So every chance I got, I logged into Facebook, chatted up people, and asked them (okay, begged) to like my entry. For an hour or two, I forgot all about it because we went to this yummy hole-in-the-wall dimsum place.
When the clock struck one, I remembered the contest! And blurted a loud, "Oh no!"
